Kohl's Cares for Kids ShapeDown at Health Zone
In 2005, Health Zone and The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis teamed up to offer a unique program for overweight or obese children and teens.  The program, called Kohl's Cares for Kids ShapeDown at Health Zone, is a pediatric weight management program targeting children ages 8 – 14. Kohl's recognizes this program as a part of Kohl's Cares for Kids nationally. The Tulsa based program features fun and interactive sessions on physical activity, healthy eating and behavior modification strategies.

Kohl's Cares for Kids ShapeDown at Health Zone consists of 12 group sessions held two times per week over a six-week period. Each session is 90 minutes long – the children participate in physical activity the first 60 minutes and then attend a nutrition/behavior modification class the last 30 minutes. While the children participate in physical activity, various topics are discussed with parents. Parents are also highly encouraged to sit in on the nutrition lessons with their children.

Health Zone is located Northeast of 71st and Yale, 5353 East 68 Street on the Saint Francis Health System Campus. Kohl's Cares for Kids ShapeDown at Health Zone classes are led by a team of clinical staff, registered dieticians and exercise specialists. Kohl's Cares for Kids ShapeDown at Health Zone is open to members and non-members of Health Zone.

Classes are held seasonally. Now enrolling for the Fall and Winter sessions.
